Bike and mountain bike
You can test your endurance on mountain roads, making your way up legendary passes on the Tour de France itinerary (cols du Portillon and Peyressourde).
If you prefer pedalling for fun, opt for a downhill racing bike. With Superbagnères for your starting point (12 minutes from Luchon by cable car) you will find many tracks marked out for different levels. You can also go downhill on an Arapao, an all-terrain scooter with drum brake.
Gliding and paragliding
The Superbagnères ski resort, reached easily by cable car and located 1200 m higher than Luchon, it is an ideal launch point for a two-seater paraglider or for a single seater if you are an expert. You can also brush up on your technique at a workshop run by certified monitors. The aerodrome invites you to take your first flight by airplane or a glider over the snowy peaks.
Do not hesitate to embark on a rafting, a kayak or a canoe trip down the river, to travel through a canyon, or to dive headfirst in hydrospeed supervised by a whole team.

Tennis and Golf
Challenge your partners on a clay tennis court or on a golf course (9 holes) in a magnificent setting.
With your family, enjoy a game of mini golf, a round of archery, or watch a Basque Pelota tournament…..
If you prefer the calm of fishing (fly fishing or other) mountain rivers and lakes await you.
For the youngest ones, the Badech lake with regular fish releases and the fish farm (this is really child’s play) will introduce you to the discipline.
Horse and donkey riding
Make friends with the horses and ponies at the equestrian centre, or let the donkeys take you on a ride in the mountains as was done 100 years ago.
Connoisseurs will be delighted by the horse competitions.
Numerous car tours (maximum 40 km backwards) will allow you to discover magnificent sites: the hospice de France, the Lys valley (Enfer waterfall), the barns of Astau (departure for the walk towards the lake of Ôo), the valleys of Larboust and Oueil (Roman churches with beautiful 15th century frescoes and paleolithic burials), the ski resorts of Superbagnères and Peyragudes, the animal park Aran Park with its isards, mouflons, wolves, lynx, otters… and marmots.

The town of Luchon organises many cultural and sporting events: workshops, visits, conferences, parties, shows, sports competitions… See the festivities in LUCHON
Tickle your palate in the many and varied restaurants waiting to welcome you in the mountains and the valley. You will enjoy discovering great regional dishes. Specialties include “Pétéram” (slow-cooked tripe) and “Pistache” (rib and breast of stuffed mutton and “pistache” beans).
